Which ones fit your barrel and host?
Check in the BuilderThe Thunder Beast Silencer Summit fires every suppressor entered on the same gun, with the same equipment. SPIRO 243 SR was measured in 1 test. Figures can only be compared with others from the same test, so each one links to everything else fired on that gun.

Manufacturer claim
- TBAC testing found that on 5.56 hosts the difference in overall performance (including sound reduction) of a .223 vs. .243 bore size is imperceptible to human senses; the dB difference averages about +/- 1 dB(A) and depends on specific application and barrel length.
- Mounts: Direct Thread 1/2-28 (DT) -- for .223 Direct Thread 5/8-24 (DT) -- for .243 HUB (1.6" from TE to first baffle) * no mount included with HUB version SR v2.
- Low Back Pressure Gas Gun Suppressor Extreme Duty/Full-Auto Dedicated versions for 5.56mm; 6mm (6ARC) Available in SR (v2) mount, Direct Thread, and HUB The SPIRO is a low back pressure gas-gun suppressor that has excellent sound suppression levels at both the muzzle and at shooter's ear .
- No longer do you have to compromise and have your gas gun suppressor be "Low back pressure but loud at the muzzle." The 5.56 SPIRO increases back pressure gas flow by only approximately 50% compared to a bare muzzle (most LBP are 35-85%), which is 3X less gas than a Dominus-SR.
Show all 11 ▾ ▴
- The SPIRO only increases the cyclic rate of an Mk18 by about 5% (compared to 43% for a Dominus-SR; most LBP 3%-10%).
- This is while keeping Shooter's Ear peak dBA at 137.7 (LEq dBA 124.9), and milspec-left muzzle position 138.2 dBA (LEq dBA 124.4).
- The SPIRO-SR uses v2 of the SR system. The SR v2 differs from the original SR only by the new mounts being shorter. SR v1 suppressors (Dominus, Magnus, 338 Ultra, etc) will fit on SR v2 mounts, but the SPIRO-SR will not fit on the older SR v1 mounts, simply because they are too long. The SPIRO-SR is only available in 6mm/.243 bore size.
- Finish: Black CeraKote.
- Brake material: Haynes 282.
- Rated Hard-Use/Full-Auto Mod 1 [HU/FA/1]: lifetime to exceed at least 20 SURG cycles on an 8.0" Mk18 style AR, versus 10 cycles on a 10.5" barrel for the other TBAC full-auto rated suppressors. The upper and muzzle device will likely not survive the entire trial.
- Minimum barrel lengths for SPIRO 6mm/.243: any barrel length for 4.6x30 HK and 5.7 FN; 8" for .223, 5.56mm, 5.45 Russian; 12.5" for 22 ARC, 224 Valkyrie, 6 ARC; 18.0" for .22-250, 22 Creedmoor, .243WIN, 6 Creedmoor, 6GT.
