- Easy to disassemble and clean, each piece snaps together to seal the baffles and keep the byproducts of combustion away from the tube and end caps.
- Compact and lightweight for balance and portability.
- The five primary baffles feature patent-pending pushed-cone geometry to create effective cross-jetting within the suppressor, slowing and cooling the gasses, ultimately reducing the sound pressure level at the muzzle by up to 40 dB.
- First round pop - when the first round fired is noticeably louder than subsequent shots - is minimized due to the Silent-SR's optimally-sized blast chamber.
- Accuracy is preserved by the symmetrical blast baffles.
- The compact 1-1/16" diameter tube allows the use of most standard iron sights.
- At only 5-3/8" long and weighing just over 6 ounces, the Silent-SR's combination of a titanium tube, stainless steel muzzle mount, stainless steel baffles and aluminum rear cap maximize strength and durability while minimizing weight.
- The baffle stack is a muzzle mount, a blast baffle and five primary baffles, closed by a front cap and a rear cap with their own O-rings.
- Utilizing a titanium tube, aluminum rear cap, and stainless steel threaded mount, baffles and front cap, Ruger has selected the best material for each part to maximize strength and minimize weight without sacrificing durability.
- Material/Finish: Titanium, 17-4 Stainless and Aluminum/Cerakote.
- The 17-4 PH stainless steel baffles, investment cast in Ruger's Pine Tree Castings foundry, are CNC machined to snap together. This prevents the fouling associated with rimfire ammunition from reaching the tube and endcaps.
- The black Cerakote finish is attractive and durable.
- The Silent-SR .22 LR is specifically designed to be easily disassembled and serviced by the user, even after a couple thousand rounds of lead and carbon buildup.
- The Silent-SR is compatible with a host of Ruger firearms: SR22 Pistol with Threaded Barrel, 22/45 Threaded Barrel Models, 22 Charger Pistol Threaded Barrel Models, 10/22 Tactical Rifle with Threaded Barrel, 10/22 Takedown Threaded Barrel Models, SR-22 Rifle with Threaded Barrel, Ruger American Rimfire Threaded Barrel Models, and Ruger American Rimfire Compact Threaded Barrel Models.
- Utilizing an industry standard 1/2"-28 thread mount, the Silent-SR can be used on any threaded .22LR, 22WMR or 17HMR caliber firearm.
- Disassembly tool is included.
- Do not fire heavy or high grain bullets through the suppressor as they may not stabilize properly and can lead to baffle strikes. Avoid ammunition such as Aguila SSS 60gr.
- Do not fire .22 LR shot shells or other multiple projectile ammunition through this suppressor.
- Do not mount the suppressor with a crush washer. For muzzle threads longer than 0.40", install a spacer between the shoulder and the suppressor.
- Always check that the suppressor is fully screwed on to the muzzle hand tight and abutted to a flat shoulder. The shoulder must be perpendicular, and the muzzle threads concentric, to the bore.
- Check the tightness of the suppressor on the firearm often, as it can loosen during firing.
