Manufacturer claim
- PWS describes the BDE 556 as a modular 3D-printed titanium 5.56 suppressor that ships with removable baffles so the user can customize length and noise-reduction rating.
- A serialized entrance chamber is separate from the baffle monocore and end cap, which PWS says makes the can easy to service.
- PWS says precision-engineered baffles minimize backpressure, and symmetrical internal baffle notches increase accuracy while exterior textures dissipate heat mirage.
- The rear of the can uses a universal 1.375x24 TPI (HUB) pattern for compatibility with the majority of suppressor mounts.

- Built from aerospace-grade titanium with a DLC coating on the exterior for a durable finish; PWS says the titanium is lighter and stronger than traditionally machined material.
- The taper-threaded baffles are claimed to prevent carbon locking and loosening between baffles for consistent performance.
