The HUB 1.375x24 is an open standard: 489 mounts and 934 muzzle devices in our catalog fit this suppressor, including LayerX Suppression HUB Direct Thread Adapter (1/2-28), AAC 51T S.T.A.M.P. Mount and AB Suppressor AB Raptor Adapter. You aren't locked into one manufacturer's parts.
Which ones fit your barrel and host?
Check in the BuilderThe Thunder Beast Silencer Summit fires every suppressor entered on the same gun, with the same equipment. Strake 9 was measured in 3 tests. Figures can only be compared with others from the same test, so each one links to everything else fired on that gun.

Manufacturer claim
- 117 dB at shooter's ear — MP5 / 9mm 168gr (manufacturer-published dB reduction figure; no dedicated catalog field, carried here).
- Featuring industry standard HUB/Bravo threads the Strake 9 is compatible with your favorite QD or Direct Thread mounts and can be used on handguns with a booster assembly. Engineered for peak shooter experience and at 8.5oz this can is equally at home on your favorite pistol as your .300 Blk PDW.
- The bore through your STRAKE9 suppressor must concentrically align with the bore of the host firearm barrel to which it is mounted; mounting architecture (threads, 3-Lug muzzle, etc.) must be properly machined to allow proper attachment. Rear socket is an industry-standard 1-3/8-24 HUB accepting direct-thread, 3-lug, booster/Nielsen device, and QD mounting options, limited by a maximum 1.625in mount intrusion into the blast chamber.
- The Strake 9 uses a forward gas venting design with internal geometries manufactured via DMLS that are impossible with traditional machining. This directs gas forward and out of the suppressor rather than back into the action, and is designed to add minimal back-pressure.

- DFARS-compliant Grade 5 Titanium delivers an elite strength-to-weight ratio that no steel can match. No welds, no joints, no assembly variation. This isn't additive manufacturing as a novelty — it's the only way to build the internal geometries the low-back-pressure design requires; traditional machining cannot produce these geometries.
- Manufactured from DFARS-compliant Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) via Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) as a single monolithic structure — no welds, no joints, no assembly variation. Grade 5 Titanium is 38% lighter than steel at equal strength and naturally corrosion resistant.
- All LayerX suppressors including the Strake 9 are backed by a transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty covering manufacturing defects. LayerX will repair or replace any suppressor that fails under normal use for life; the warranty does not cover cosmetic wear or damage from improper use, and baffle strikes not due to a workmanship defect are excluded.
- From the ground up, the Strake 9 was developed to be the best sounding pistol caliber can in a shockingly efficient package. Delivering superior suppression with minimal back pressure increase and first round pop is accomplished through use of our proprietary Strand DNA system.
- The standalone Strake 9 ships with the suppressor only — nothing else is included. Mounting hardware (HUB adapters, direct-thread adapters, Nielsen-device pistons, tri-lug or QD mounts) is sold separately.
- Your can will arrive test fired to ensure that it is clear of all residue from the manufacturing process and concentric to bore.
- Manufacturer caliber/barrel-length table (live product API): 9mm — full-auto rated, all lengths; .357 Mag/.38 Spl — 16in; .300 BLK supersonic — 9in; .300 BLK subsonic — full-auto, 7in; .350 Legend — 16in; .308 Win — 20in; .338 ARC subsonic — 12in; 5.56 NATO — 16in; 7.62x39 — 16in; 8.6 BLK subsonic — 12in.
- Manufacturer caliber/barrel-length table (printed owner's manual, TM-STRAKE9, created 2025-11-03): 8.6 BLK (subsonic only) — 12.5in; .300 BLK subsonic — 7in; .300 BLK supersonic — 9in; 5.56x45mm — 16in; 7.62x51mm — 20in; 6mm ARC — 16in; .357 Magnum — 16in; .338 ARC (subsonic only) — 12.5in. This table disagrees with the live site's version: it omits 9mm, .350 Legend and 7.62x39 (all present on the live site) and includes 6mm ARC (absent from the live site's table for this model) — a genuine manufacturer-side inconsistency, not resolved here.
- Is the Strake 9 full-auto rated? Manufacturer FAQ answer: "The Strake 9 is manufactured from Grade 5 Titanium via DMLS by our aerospace-level production partner, delivering exceptional thermal stability for sustained fire. Consult your dealer for specific duty-use requirements." — a more cautious answer than the caliber table's explicit "9mm - Full Auto Rated" line; both are the manufacturer's own words and are recorded without reconciling them.
