Shorter than most 5.56mm / .223 suppressors
Length compared against the 373 5.56mm / .223 suppressors in the catalog that publish one. Quartile basis; a value inside the middle half carries no note.

Manufacturer claim
- The RASTER 5K is designed for use on modern 5.56mm and 6mm ARC rifles and carbines in serviceable condition. Produced from Haynes 282 using DMLS additive manufacturing, chosen for use on short barrels and select-fire hosts. The 1-3/8-24 HUB socket enables direct-thread and QD mounting options, limited by a maximum 1.65in mount intrusion into the blast chamber.
- We chose Haynes 282 specifically because forced-reset triggers (FRTs), the Super Safety, and similar high-rate-of-fire devices are now widely available across 5.56 platforms. These devices subject a suppressor to brutal, sustained heat cycles that can fatigue lesser materials like titanium. Haynes 282 holds its strength at the temperatures those firing schedules generate. Retains full strength beyond 1,800°F, with superior creep resistance vs. Inconel 718.
- This isn't additive manufacturing as a novelty. It's the only way to build the internal geometries our low back-pressure design requires. Traditional machining cannot produce these geometries.
- All LayerX suppressors including the Raster 5K are backed by a transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty covering manufacturing defects.

- In the cornucopia of 5.56K cans, the Raster 5K is the LayerX answer to keeping it short and simple without sacrificing performance. Accomplishing superior suppression with minimal back pressure increase is possible through the hybrid flow proprietary Strand DNA system. An integrally designed inverted flash hider provides excellent muzzle flash performance for its footprint, and micro-brakes in the exit ports give good recoil reduction. Full Auto Rated and over-bored to accommodate 6mm-class cartridges.
- Manufacturer caliber/barrel-length table (live product API): 5.56 NATO — 10.3in barrel; 6 ARC — 10.5in barrel; 6 PRC / 6 Creedmoor — 14.5in barrel.
- Manufacturer caliber/barrel-length table (owner's manual, TM-RASTER 5K, printed 2026-05-25): 5.56mm — 10.3in or longer; 6mm ARC — 10.5in or longer. Confirms the live site's 5.56/6 ARC figures; the manual does not list 6 PRC / 6 Creedmoor, which the live site adds.
