Manufacturer claim
- AE suppressors mount to two points on the barrel, which provides benefits to accuracy, durability, and repeatability. A reflex section increases the internal volume of the suppressor without increasing overall length. The M4 mount is direct-thread onto 1/2x28 barrels using a 3-piece long collar and requires 4.4″ from the muzzle to the taper.
- The M4-Delta (M4-D) is the oldest Allen Engineering design still made today, and was used by MSG Gary Gordon during the Battle of Mogadishu as depicted in Black Hawk Down.
