A fixed barrel adapter takes the place of a piston in a pistol suppressor. Rifles, carbines and other guns with fixed barrels do not need the piston's spring action, and a rigid adapter holds the suppressor more securely. Use a piston on a tilting pistol barrel and this on everything else.
This one fits suppressors that take the Aklys LID piston and holds them rigid on a M16x1LH barrel.
